Educate Yourself |
| Before you invest a single penny in a business opportunity, do a little homework. Ask questions: What is the company's history, how long have they been in business? Are they a repair operation or do they just sell tools? Do they provide individual training at a training facility with the materials and personnel to train you individually? Or do they want to send you a do-it-yourself video and expect you to practice on broken windshields from a junkyard? Do they have a bona fide marketing plan to generate retail customers that need your service, or do they propose the same thing as all the others, chasing wholesale work and insurance referrals? Do they have a long term business plan for you, or do they expect you to get up every morning wondering where (or if) you'll find work that day? What do they provide that will make you successful when so many others fail? |

Salespeople tell you what you want to hear, they do that to make a sale. Do you really believe a salesperson that says it's "simple" and "easy" to make money? Do you really believe him when he says his company's products are the best? Isn't everyone saying that? Is he just trying to find the quickest way to your credit card, or is he willing to explain things to you, answer your questions fully and otherwise take the time to help you? |

When a person says "I'm not sure this is going to work, so I don't want to make much of an investment" failure is guaranteed. Do your research first, decide if windshield repair is the profitable business you're looking for. If you don't think so, don't waste one penny of your money. On the other hand, if it is, then make a serious commitment to succeed by obtaining the best tools, training and support available. All successful business owners have two things in common: a positive attitude and they never include failure as an option. |

The decision you make is important, and will likely mean the difference between success and failure. Remember that you're investing in a business that must provide a secure income for you, one that will allow you to enjoy your life. So be sure that you're making the right choice. A lot of people go bargain hunting or look for the easiest arrangement. They end up giving a salesperson their credit card number and are shipped a box of "tools" along with a video tape. A couple months later you'll find them selling their windshield repair kit on ebay hoping to minimize their loss. No one wants to throw their hard earned money away, but that's exactly what happens when you make a bad investment. |
